Record crowds gathered for CoCreate’s fourth annual European Forum on 9 October in Sindelfingen, Germany. Throughout the event, top CoCreate customers gave in depth presentations on the CoCreate OneSpace Suite and its role in the daily work of high-tech electronics and machinery companies. Plus, CoCreate executives offered a sneak peek into future versions of the OneSpace Suite. If you couldn’t be there, here’s a quick summary:

		William M. Gascoigne opened the day with details of recent CoCreate success – more than 55,000 users worldwide have downloaded OneSpace Modeling Personal Edition, CoCreate’s free 3D CAD software. Mr. Gascoigne also explained why CoCreate's 3rd generation PLM (3G PLM) approach, with its extreme flexibility and easy integration into existing IT structures, makes so much sense for high-tech companies in the electronics and machinery industry.
Customer presentations accentuated the 3G PLM message, demonstrating how the CoCreate OneSpace Suite streamlines processes and ensures product development leadership.
		Dr. Werner Dax from IST METZ and Heiko Richter from XENON shared the advantages of a Dynamic Modeling based approach for innovation, making design changes quickly, and reusing and repurposing parts.
		CEO Fabian Luccarini from E. Luterbach in Switzerland explained how his company uses the CoCreate OneSpace Suite throughout its 3D development process — from concept to manufacturing and delivery of the final product.
		Jürgen Hofmann from Hans Lingl showed how the CoCreate Suite handles large assemblies and acts as a key factor for leading product development.
		Eckard Kronmüller from the Optima Group and Lothar Kolm from Phoenix Contact both emphasized how fast return on investment and staying up to date with latest software revisions are vital, especially to their complex development environments with teams dispersed across the world.
		CoCreate Marketing & R&D management introduced new features in the recently released version 15.50, as well as a few examples from projects for the 2008 CoCreate OneSpace Suite, scheduled to hit the market in spring.
		Don Richardson, Director of Global Innovation and PLM Industry Strategy from Microsoft rounded out the program by explaining the importance of the strategic relationship between Microsoft and CoCreate. He described the close working relationship between both companies' research and development teams and revealed how Microsoft products play an important role in the realization of CoCreate's 3G PLM strategy.
