Tips & Tricks: Prompted Search creates dialog in CoCreate Model Manager that works the way you do

If you typically run searches with the same search criteria, but different values, a prompted, saved search could make your work faster. For example, you might frequently search for Masterdata you own, where you typically specify the date and name. Configure Model Manager to the way you work by saving a search that prompts you for these values, and these values only.

Here's how:

  1. Start a Search for Masterdata.

  2. Choose your name from the Owner drop down list.

  3. In the Name field, type what you would like to be prompted for enclosed in square brackets.

  4. Similarly, in the Create Date drop down list, you can choose [Prompt for value].

  5. Now run the search and you will see the Parameter prompt for Date and Model Name.

  6. Choose Save the definition of this search and give it a unique name

  7. Your search will now show up under Saved Searches.

  8. Whenever you want to search for items you own based on a date and Model Name, simply choose your newly saved search.
