What is CoCreate OneSpace Modeling Personal Edition (PE)?

What separates the personal edition from the professional version of CoCreate OneSpace Modeling?

To make the OneSpace Modeling PE software download as small as possible and still provide a rich 3D CAD experience, some professional version features have been excluded, like photo-realistic rendering, some data exchange capabilities (like saving STEP, IGES, and MI formats), integrated data management, 3D documentation and 3rd party APIs. Also, the personal edition only supports up to 60 unique parts within a design session.

Can I exchange design data with other users?

Definitely! Imported and new design data are saved in a PK2 format unique to OneSpace Modeling PE, so feel free to exchange your design data with any other OneSpace Modeling PE user. While the PK2 format is not directly compatible with the professional version of CoCreate OneSpace Modeling, if you later decide to purchase the professional version, CoCreate can upgrade your PK2 files to the latest release for you.

How is OneSpace Modeling PE licensed?

While there is no license cost, individual registration and an internet connection are required to run OneSpace Modeling PE. Full floating license and local license administration capabilities are only available with the professional version of OneSpace Modeling.

Can OneSpace Modeling and OneSpace Modeling PE run on the same machine?

While this is not a supported configuration, users running the current release of OneSpace Modeling can also run OneSpace Modeling PE on the same machine. This is helpful for users desiring home or personal use licensing. Note that the PK2 format is not transferable between OneSpace Modeling PE and the professional version without the assistance of CoCreate.
